Product Description

A pair of 19th century, late Qing dynasty, Chinese Guardian Lions or "foo dogs" from Chaozhou Province.  These ornately carved auspicious symbols were likely covered with stucco during he Cultural Revolution to prevent them from being destroyed.  Paul's Antiques will mount these carvings on stands as the request of the buyer for no additional charge.
