Product Description
This lacquered container was used to carry food and other offerings to monks. The carrier is comprised of four pieces - a small bowl and plate on top, a lid and the main bowl. The bowl is made of woven bamboo. The handle is carved out of teak in the shape of a Naga, a mythical creature resembling a sea serpent. The outside is further decorated with elephants and floral patterns in green color, and accented by a bamboo inlaid border.
